The Carrollton City Council on Tuesday reduced the city’s property tax rate for the 11th consecutive year as it approved its budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year. The council approved to set the property tax rate at $0.538750 cents per assessed $100. This equates to a reduction of $.0228 cents per assessed $100 since 2023. Additionally, council increased the senior and disabled exemptions from $87,000 to $97,000 for FY24-25.
