Where I Live: Why a southwest Fort Worth resident transformed his parents’ home into a Christmas lights legend

I grew up in a house near Bryant Irvin Road in southwest Fort Worth where my mother decorated the outside and inside of our home as if we lived at the North Pole. We had a tree with ornaments from all over the world. The room was filled with the original Department 56 Christmas village. My mother blasted any Bing Crosby Christmas classic around the house, and there was a smell of pine cones everywhere.
