Nancy Marchant learned about community at an early age from her parents.

“When my mom and dad were in their 80s, they were always taking food to the ‘old’ people,” she recalls. “They went to Mexico and built a kindergarten. You were always expected to help other people. You were part of the community, and you needed to give back.”
