Texas Weather Alert: Tornado Watch Extended Until 9 PM CDT for Central and North Central Texas

Fort Worth, TX – A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 9 PM CDT this evening for multiple counties across Central and North Central Texas. The watch, originally issued earlier today, has now been extended to include two additional counties.

According to the National Weather Service, the watch includes Anderson, Falls, Freestone, Henderson, Leon, Limestone, Milam, Robertson, Navarro, and Van Zandt counties in Central Texas. Additionally, the alert now extends to Hopkins and Rains counties in North Central Texas. Cities impacted by the watch include Athens, Buffalo, Cameron, Canton, and Corsicana, among others.

Residents in these areas should stay vigilant as severe weather could bring conditions conducive to tornado development. The National Weather Service advises people to stay indoors, avoid windows, and have a plan in place to seek shelter immediately if a tornado warning is issued…
