A Tarrant County jury has convicted 24-year-old Jacob Arriaga on charges of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, resulting in a 30-year sentence, as per a social media post by the Euless Police Department.
The arrest and subsequent trial stem from an incident on January 31, 2024, when Arriaga was pulled over for speeding, during which police discovered a briefcase in his vehicle containing about 3,000 fentanyl tablets.
