A Fort Worth-based startup that has been testing its autonomous towed cargo glider systems in West Texas is opening a flight operations headquarters at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport.
The location in north Fort Worth will be the center of Aerolane’s test flight operations, FAA certification efforts and future product development; the company plans to launch its first Aerocart cargo glider system for commercial service later this year.
Aerolane will refine and test its patented Aerocart technology, a series of autonomous towed cargo glider systems that boost the capacity of existing planes while requiring only marginally more fuel.
