A Southlake developer hopes to stake its claim in southwest Fort Worth’s booming residential market.
Integrated Real Estate Group is seeking Fort Worth’s blessing to rezone a 12.6-acre property near the intersection of Bryant Irvin and Altamesa Boulevard for high-density residential use. The change would allow the company to move forward with plans to construct a 368-unit apartment complex on the site.
The now empty site is about a mile-and-a-half east of Benbrook Lake’s eastern shoreline and a mile west of Chisholm Trail Parkway. Much of the land wedged between the lake and the prospective apartment complex is undeveloped. Homes, apartments and a few stores cover much of the landscape to the north, east and south…
