Fort Worth plans to make about $6 million in runway infrastructure improvements to bustling Meacham International Airport.
As Texas’ second-busiest general aviation airport, Meacham saw more than 210,000 takeoffs and landings in 2024. All those planes have caused wear and tear on airport infrastructure.
Fort Worth City Council has approved a federal grant application seeking $1.8 million that would, if awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration, help fund the reconstruction of paved areas where aircraft are parked and where they access the runway.
