Fort Worth likely to end sister city ties with Guiyang under pending Texas bill

FORT WORTH, Texas — A ban on sister city agreements with cities in Russia, Iran, North Korea, and China is expected to take effect this fall in Texas under a bill Gov. Greg Abbott will likely sign into law soon.

House Bill 128 prohibits Texas cities from having sister city agreements with countries deemed foreign adversaries.
