Garland Scoops Seven Honors at Texas Municipal Information Officers Awards in Fort Worth

The City of Garland has recently garnered statewide recognition with seven distinct honors at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) awards, held this month in Fort Worth. The annual event, aimed at fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange among Texas cities in the realm of communications, saw Garland’s Public & Media Relations Department, Garland Power & Light, and Visit Garland achieve notable distinctions across various categories, according to the City of Garland.

Highlighted among the awards was a TAMI Award (first place) for the Garland Economic Development Marketing Video, which demonstrates the city’s ambition and capacity for commercial growth, whereas the Garland History GeoTour Passport, a tangible showcase of local lore, and the innovative Garland Pho Real Trail promotional pho soup bowl both earned an Award of Excellence.
