This summer, residents can expect to see thousands of solar-powered streetlights across several Fort Worth neighborhoods to address aging infrastructure.
Fort Worth-based Fonroche Lighting America and Florida company Streetleaf are collectively bringing 3,429 solar-powered streetlights to the city. Fort Worth officials expect to see some cost savings as a result.
During the summer, 1,000 solar streetlights supplied by Fonroche will be installed in the following neighborhoods:
- Overton South
- South Hemphill Heights
- Westcreek Central
- Polytechnic Heights
- Highland Hills
- Wedgwood East
Fort Worth will see more solar streetlight upgrades later in 2025 in the Central Meadowbrook, Oakridge Terrace, Historic Stop Six, Brentwood-Oak Hills and Parker-Essex-Boaz neighborhoods…
