Taylor Sheridan isn’t waiting around to see how Hollywood shakes out. In the wake of Paramount’s $8.4 billion takeover by Skydance, the Yellowstone creator is doubling down on his home turf in Texas. On Wednesday, Paramount and Sheridan revealed plans for a massive new production campus in Fort Worth — a 450,000-square-foot facility that will house some of his biggest shows, including Landman and Lioness. The site, built on billionaire Ross Perot Jr.’s AllianceTexas campus, will be the largest of its kind in the state and marks a clear signal that Sheridan is building for the long run.
“We are at a pivotal moment where Texas can become a global force in the film industry, and North Texas offers the location and resources to play a central role in this development,” said Hillwood President Mike Berry, whose company is partnering on the project.
The new complex, called SGS Studios, is made up of two buildings and six soundstages capable of handling four large-scale productions at once. It’s already in action — the second season of Landman has been filming there since March…
