Another round of showers and some will arrive this afternoon to evening from North to South-Central Texas. Heavy rainfall and gusty winds will be possible along with the threat of isolated flash flooding. Much of Texas is under a marginal risk for excessive rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday, and the risk of severe weather is low along with widespread flooding. We’ll drop high temperatures a few degrees by the week’s end with drier weather for the weekend.

According to hunger relief network Feeding America, Texas leads the nation in food insecurity, with more than five million families facing hunger. According to the group, 1.4 million Texans are food insecure, representing over 17% of the state and the largest number of individuals in the country.
