City of Fort Worth invites residents to select favorite name for new $12 million public library currently under construction

Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth residents now have the chance to help name a brand-new public library currently under construction in the far northwest part of the city. The upcoming facility, located at 1297 Avondale/Haslet Road in City Council District 10, is part of a major effort to expand access to library services in one of Fort Worth’s fastest-growing areas.

In August, the community was invited to submit name suggestions for the new branch. The response was enthusiastic, with more than 150 submissions received. A committee made up of library and city leadership, elected officials, and community representatives reviewed each proposal, ensuring they met city policy and did not duplicate names already used by local businesses.

From that large pool, four finalist names were selected:

  • Prairie Sky Branch
  • Sendera Springs Branch
  • Ranch Springs Branch
  • Ranch Crossing Branch

Residents are encouraged to cast their vote for their favorite name using an online form. Voting will remain open until midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 10…
