The Fort Worth Fire Department provided an update on Firefighter Caleb Halvorson’s condition on September 8, 2025, following the incident that left him with multiple injuries and serious burns. The department thanked the community for the outpouring of support, prayers, and donations for the Halvorson family.
Despite sustaining severe injuries, Firefighter Halvorson is in stable condition and has been moved from the ICU to a step-down room in the burn unit at Parkland Hospital. He is scheduled to undergo three back-to-back surgeries on his knee, which must be completed before any shoulder repairs can begin. Additionally, no surgeries can proceed until third-degree burns on his leg have sufficiently healed.
While his pain is currently managed with medication, skin grafts and physical therapy are causing significant discomfort, taking both a physical and emotional toll on Caleb and his family…
