White Settlement Police Department recently took to social media to commend the swift actions of Officers Conley, Leal, Stokes, and Sgt. Banner for their handling of a potentially dangerous situation. According to the department’s Facebook post, they had been alerted by a caller through WEST COMM 911 about an impaired driver who had come into the city from the freeway. The notification described erratic driving behavior that caught the attention of the vigilant citizen.
Upon receiving the call, the officers were able to devise a strategy to safely intercept the driver before they had the chance to cause harm or attempt an escape. The social media update from the department stressed the importance of responsible decision-making when it comes to alcohol consumption and driving. “Great job by Officers Conley, Leal, Stokes, and Sgt. Banner on locating this impaired driver who entered our city from the freeway after a caller notified WEST COMM 911 of the erratic driving behavior,” cited the White Settlement Police Department.
