Five restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex snagged spots on Southern Living’s 2025 Top 50 BBQ Joints of the South list. Overall, 17 spots in Texas made the list, with the Austin area leading the charge with nine.
Here were the North Texas restaurants recognized:
- No. 65: Hurtado Barbecue (multiple locations)
- No. 43: Cattleack Barbeque (Dallas)
- No. 40: Dayne’s Craft Barbecue (Aledo)
- No. 37: Goldee’s Bar-B-Q (Fort Worth)
- No. 15: Panther City BBQ (Fort Worth)
