There’s never a dull moment for Kendell Allen and her family. So when the Dallas-Fort Worth locals spotted their neighbor’s skeleton the first weekend of September, they knew they had to join in — with a twist.
“We’d just moved into the house a month ago, and boxes were everywhere, but somehow the Halloween decorations came out first,” Kendell, who lives with her husband and 5-year-old son, tells PEOPLE. “After all the craziness of moving, it felt good to take a break and dive into something new.”
They put their skeleton out with a sign that read, “Is that all you got?” They didn’t know if the neighbors would respond — they’d never even met them — but hoped for some playful fun…
