DALLAS — If it feels like Dallas traffic is just getting worse, that’s because it is. According to a new study from Texas A&M University, the amount of time Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex drivers spend in traffic each year increased by 4% in 2024.
Last year, Dallas-Fort Worth drivers spent an average of 69 hours sitting in traffic, totaling over 230,000 hours of delays per year, according to the Texas A&M Transportation Institute.
