Bedford to remove student-painted crosswalks under new state street-marking rules

Two student-designed crosswalks in Bedford are being removed this month to comply with a new Texas policy banning non-standard street markings that don’t directly support traffic control or safety.

The artwork, located outside Bedford Junior High and Harwood Junior High, must be taken out after the city was unable to secure exemptions to keep the designs.
