Man driving pick-up truck struck by train in Palo Pinto County, officials say

PALO PINTO COUNTY, Texas — A man was taken to a Fort Worth hospital Sunday morning after the pick-up truck he was driving was struck by a crossing train, police say.

According to the Department of Public Safety, a Ford F-150 was crossing railroad tracks at Petty Road in Santo, and reportedly failed to yield the right-of-way to an oncoming train. The crossing doesn’t have safety arms that lower when trains approach.
