Groom of viral $59M wedding, who was indicted for firing shots at police, has trial date delayed to nearly 3 years after being arrested

The trial date for the groom in what was dubbed as “the wedding of the century” – which went viral on social media and reportedly cost $59 million – has been delayed to nearly three years after being arrested and charged for multiple counts of assaulting police officers.

Jacob LaGrone, 30, was set to go on trial in mid-November where he faces three counts of assault on a public servant, a first-degree felony. His trial date was moved to Jan. 8, 2026, according to court records…
