These Fort Worth schools to close next year. Here’s where students will be rezoned

As the first wave of several school closures in the Fort Worth Independent School District approaches for next school year, the school board has finalized new attendance boundaries for impacted families.

Four elementary campuses will close at the end of the current school year, shifting students to neighboring schools: Edward Briscoe Elementary, Milton Kirkpatrick Elementary, Charles Nash Elementary and Riverside Applied Learning Center. The closures are part of the district’s facilities master plan that includes shuttering a total of 18 schools over the next four years, two of which already closed at the end of the 2024-25 school year.

The school board on Tuesday unanimously approved new attendance boundary maps for students currently attending the four closing schools. The board also approved the closure of Western Hills Primary, which will be consolidated into Western Hills Elementary in the fall, at its Tuesday meeting.
