Unless you’re swinging by a contracts course at Texas A&M School of Law, you won’t find a larger gathering of legal minds than at the annual cocktail reception honoring the Fort Worth Magazine Top Attorneys [insert lawyer joke here]. Giving these legal practitioners an opportunity to converse outside the courtroom or arbitrator’s office, the magazine toasted the city’s best litigators, defenders, and prosecutors — the navigators of our complex legal system — at the ballroom in the Crescent Hotel and Spa last night.
With an open bar and open and generous conversation, the reception kicked off at 5:30 p.m. Hal Brown, Fort Worth Magazine co-founder and publisher, gave a short welcome speech thanking the event sponsors, AEKO Technologies and Forvis Mazars, and everyone for attending. He would also detail the process by which attorneys are selected, which involves peer voting, editorial vetting, and zero involvement or sway from advertisers.
“As there are 8,209 active attorneys in Tarrant and contiguous counties, excluding Dallas County, that means if you’re on our 2025 top attorney list, your peers have voted you among the top 8%,” Brown said in his remarks…
