CARROLLTON, Texas — A planned online sale at a police exchange zone ended in theft after police say a suspect stole high-value watches from a seller in the parking lot of the Carrollton Police Department, authorities said.
According to Carrollton police, the incident happened Dec. 16, 2025, after the victim arranged an online marketplace transaction and agreed to meet the buyer near the department’s exchange zone, a designated area meant to provide a safer place for online sales.
According to investigators, the suspect met the seller in the police department parking lot and asked to try on several watches, each worth $900.
