Dallas police officer arrested for driving while intoxicated

DALLAS — A Dallas police officer was arrested Wednesday for driving while intoxicated, the department said.

On Dec. 24, the Midlothian Police Department arrested Lieutenant Jeremy Carter for driving while intoxicated, the Dallas Police Department said in a press release. Midlothian police said its officers responded to a hit-and-run accident at approximately 1:32 p.m. on Dec. 24 in the 1100 block of West FM 875 after a 911 caller reported a silver sedan hit a sign and drove away.
