Twin Brothers Nabbed In Deadly Fort Worth Sports Bar Lot Shooting

Months after a 20-year-old bar employee was gunned down outside a popular north Fort Worth hangout, police say they have arrested twin brothers in connection with the killing. The case had weighed heavily on the victim’s family, who spent weeks pushing for answers while homicide detectives worked the file behind the scenes.

Fort Worth police identified the suspects as 20-year-old twins Samuel Gbadebo and Solomon Gbadebo, who were taken into custody in north Fort Worth, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Authorities accuse the brothers of shooting 20-year-old Isaiah Angel Gonzales to death outside Flips Patio Grill, the paper reported. Investigators have not publicly detailed what evidence led them to the brothers.

What Happened In November

The shooting unfolded in the early morning hours of Nov. 30 in the 6600 block of Fossil Bluff Drive, where officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of Flips Patio Grill, according to The Dallas Morning News. Gonzales was rushed to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital and later died in the ICU, the outlet reported.

Investigators told reporters that two people walked up to a vehicle and fired into it before running off on foot, according to FOX4. The brief, violent encounter left little behind besides shell casings and questions.

What Police Have Released So Far

Fort Worth police have not released a detailed account of the evidence that led to the arrests or an alleged motive, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. Detectives in the department’s homicide unit remain on the case and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators as they work to fill in the gaps around the moments before and after the gunfire.
