ARLINGTON, Texas — Warming centers and overnight shelters will be available in Arlington from January 23 to January 27, 2026, as temperatures are expected to drop significantly. The City of Arlington’s Homeless Emergency Cold Weather Shelter plan will be activated during this period, according to a press release from the Office of Communication.
The plan, supported by a federal emergency shelter grant, is triggered when temperatures fall to 39 degrees or below for four or more consecutive hours overnight. The City is collaborating with The Salvation Army, First United Methodist Church, and Nations Church to provide shelter for those in need.
