FORT WORTH, Texas — If your commute (or late-night drive) takes you through the Loop 820 and I-20 interchange in Fort Worth, plan for a squeeze Thursday and Friday nights, Feb. 12–13.
TxDOT’s closure schedule shows both northbound and southbound Loop 820 reduced to two lanes at Sun Valley Drive during overnight hours. That type of lane reduction can back traffic up quickly because drivers are forced into fewer lanes right where people are trying to merge and make interchange moves. Two key interchange ramps will also shut down overnight during this same window:
- Southbound I-820 ramp to westbound I-20: CLOSED
- Eastbound I-20 ramp to northbound I-820: CLOSED
