UIL state swim: Southlake Carroll boys, Keller girls make podium, more from area

The UIL state swim and dive meets wrapped up on Saturday. Here are the top performers from the Fort Worth-area.

Class 6A boys: Carroll finishes third

With 121 points, Southlake Carroll’s boys team made the podium in Class 6A. Houston Strake Jesuit (135) took second while Flower Mound Marcus (148) won the overall state championship.

The highlight of the meet for the Dragons was a second place finish from their 400-meter freestyle relay in 3 minutes, 3.12 seconds.

Keller boys, a squad that won the last three state titles, did not place in the top 10. The Indians’ top performance came from Maxwell Stanislaus, who recorded a 1:35.26 mark to take second in the 200 freestyle…
