‘Tulsa King’ spinoff starring Samuel L. Jackson set to film in Fort Worth

“Tulsa King” creator Taylor Sheridan announced that his upcoming spin-off starring Samuel L. Jackson will be filmed in the Dallas-area — titled “Frisco King,” according to news reports.

The original series, “Tulsa King,” follows a mobster, Dwight Manfredi, played by Sylvester Stallone, as he navigates his life after prison in Tulsa, Okla. Originally slated to be set in New Orleans, according to reporting by the Dallas Morning News, the spin-off is expected to follow hitman Russell Lee Washington Jr., who appeared on the third season of “Tulsa King.”

“Tulsa King” has received mainly positive reviews, with an 88% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 75% score from audience members…
