Riverside has no shortage of restaurants, but Marisqueando Ando is betting there’s room for something different: a coastal Mexican seafood spot that pairs Sinaloan flavors with an elevated setting.
A second location of the family-owned restaurant recently opened in Riverside, in the Race Street building last occupied by Bearded Lady spinoff, Tropic Lady. With more than 3,700-square feet, it’s a sizable leap from Marisqueando’s original west side location on Lackland Road, which debuted in February 2024. This new space is roughly three times larger — and so is the menu.
“This one is bigger in every way,” says managing partner Zayn “Jimmy” Khetani, who helps run the restaurant with his family. “We learned a lot from the first location, and we brought all of that here, just on a much larger scale.”…
