A decades-old grocery store chain is set to lay off more than 100 people next month in a new round of store closures.
Albertsons, a longstanding grocery chain, intends to shutter two of its locations Tarrant County locations, according to two Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications (WARN), filed with the state of Texas and obtained by PEOPLE. Both stores are set to close in April, resulting in more than 100 layoffs.
Albertsons Store No. 0106 and No. 4256 — located in Euless and Fort Worth, respectively — are both scheduled to close to the public “on or before April 25,” the two WARN notices read. However, it’s possible that employees will work to “finalize operations” at the location after that date…
