Fort Worth relaxes rules around World Cup signs, but only in these four areas

The Fort Worth City Council unanimously approved a proposal to temporarily relax city rules around signage in four districts ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

The change, approved Tuesday, March 31, creates an expedited process for World Cup signs in the Stockyards, downtown, Near Southside and West 7th. These include banners, flags and murals.

The temporary rules will allow businesses to take advantage of the World Cup without having to go through the usual city red tape to get a new sign approved…
