Fatal Crash Follows 12-Mile Police Pursuit from Fort Worth into Johnson County

FORT WORTH, Texas — A police pursuit that began in Fort Worth early Sunday morning ended in a fatal crash more than 12 miles away in Johnson County, authorities said.

Officers initially observed a vehicle around 2:34 a.m. on April 5th traveling without headlights on Interstate 35 near Rosedale. Police said the suspect vehicle struck another car and failed to stop, prompting officers to initiate a traffic stop. The driver instead fled southbound on I-35.

During the pursuit, officers reported the suspect vehicle struck a second vehicle and continued fleeing. The chase extended past Burleson, covering approximately 12 miles from the initial location…
