Painted Tree Boutiques closure leaves North Texas vendors scrambling, facing losses

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — Small business owners across North Texas are scrambling after Painted Tree Boutiques abruptly shut down all of its locations nationwide, leaving vendors with limited time to retrieve their inventory and uncertain financial futures.

The company, which operated more than 60 stores across the country, notified vendors Tuesday that it was ceasing operations immediately. Sellers were given a 10-day window to remove their merchandise, with access to stores subject to landlord approval.
