Wanted felon arrested with 546 pounds of fireworks: ACSO

(KRON) — The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said an alleged wanted felon was taken into custody Friday, and a subsequent search of the suspect’s home uncovered 546 pounds of commercial-grade fireworks.

ACSO said investigators from its Eden Township Substation partnered with California State Parole in the apprehension in unincorporated San Leandro.

“The Sheriff’s Office Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team responded and safely took custody of the fireworks for destruction,” ASCO said in a social media post.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of possessing illegal fireworks and violating parole, according to the sheriff’s office…
