OAKLAND — An Oakland police car collided with a privately owned ambulance about a block from the city’s downtown police station, resulting in major damage to both vehicle, this news organization has learned.
The police car, a silver Ford Taurus used by the investigation division, contained two Oakland police homicide detectives who were able to continue their shift after the crash, authorities said.
