Warm weather continues with heat, fire, thunderstorm concerns

(KRON) — Warmer temperatures will continue into next week, with moderate heat risk returning to parts of the Bay Area early in the week. A Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect, with up to 1.7 feet of inundation above ground level possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. From Sunday into early next week, possible isolated thunderstorms and dry lightning bring elevated fire weather concerns.

Low clouds are less widespread inland Saturday morning as the marine layer remains compressed near the coast. Motorists along the shoreline and around the San Francisco Bay may see low clouds, patchy fog, and pockets of drizzle during the early morning hours, and should be prepared for localized reductions in visibility…
