A San Francisco craft beer boom? A unique Bay Area brewery is opening another location in the city

One of the Bay Area’s most distinctive beer companies opened its first San Francisco taproom in April. Now, just months later, it has plans for another outpost in the city.

Two Pitchers Brewing Co., known for its radlers — beer mixed with fruit juice — has signed a lease for a space at 535 Florida St. in the Mission District, according to an announcement from real estate company Starboard Commercial. Featuring indoor and outdoor seating, it will be the  label’s third taproom. Two Pitchers co-owner Tommy Hester said that the current plan is to open by the end of the year.

Two Pitchers is the latest Bay Area craft brewery to announce expansion plans in recent weeks. On July 7, Berkeley-headquartered Fieldwork Brewing Co. revealed plans to open a taproom in the Presidio in addition to a new location opening in the Mission Rock development. San Francisco’s Woods Beer & Wine Co. has plans to open its seventh taproom in Fisherman’s Wharf this year. And Ghirardelli Square’s San Francisco Brewing Co. opened its second location in June…
