Khong Guan Corporation, based in Union City, California, has expanded a recall of two frozen glutinous rice ball products after the company determined they may contain undeclared peanuts, according to an official announcement posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on July 15, 2026.
The recalled products are “Glutinous Rice Balls with Black Sesame Filling” (UPC 6908791000053) and “Black & White Glutinous Rice Balls with Black Sesame Filling” (UPC 6908791000084). Both come in 14.1-ounce flexible plastic bags. The specific “Use By” date codes covered by the recall are 9/22/2027 and 10/19/2027 for the first product, and 10/19/2027 for the second product. Shoppers can find these date codes on the back panel of each bag.
