(KRON) — A person who police say hid a camera in the restroom of a Bay Area Starbucks was arrested earlier this month, the San Jose Police Department announced Thursday. SJPD officers initially responded back on June 9 at 9:30 a.m. to a report of an invasion of privacy at a Starbucks located on the 100 block of East Santa Clara Street.
The person who made the report, an employee of the Starbucks, found the camera hidden in the restroom.

The SJPD Sexual Assaults Unit launched an investigation and discovered that a man had installed the camera on the same morning it was reported. Using automated license plate reader cameras and real-time intelligence, detectives identified the suspect vehicle.
The suspect was subsequently identified as 38-year-old David Perales of San Jose. Officers obtained an arrest warrant for him.
Perales was located and arrested in the city of San Jose on July 2. He was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for invasion of privacy…
