ELKO, NV — Four people were killed and several others were hospitalized in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 93 north of Wells in Elko County, according to Nevada Highway Patrol. The collision happened Monday morning near mile marker 79, about five miles north of town.
Investigators say a southbound Honda Odyssey crossed the centerline while passing another vehicle and struck a northbound Toyota Tacoma. The crash remains under active investigation by the Nevada Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team.
A stretch of the highway was closed as crews worked the scene and began documenting the wreckage.
