The Bay Area will settle into a familiar weather groove this weekend, with typical summer temperatures and fog patterns.
Northern California will be lodged between a high-pressure system over the desert Southwest and an area of low pressure off the coast of Washington state on Friday. Only minor changes to these atmospheric pressure patterns are expected throughout the weekend. This is what meteorologists refer to as a persistence forecast, when future weather will be generally the same as the present.
