Local and state officials are asking Bay Area residents not to be alarmed if they see smoke plumes above Angel Island next week, which could result from a prescribed burn.
California State Parks, in partnership with Cal Fire and the Marin County Fire Department, plans to burn up to 260 acres of grassland and coastal scrub at Angel Island State Park beginning as soon as Tuesday, weather permitting.
