It took Ryan Alita 150 applications to land a summer internship. Then, after applying for around 50 jobs since August, the recent San Francisco State University graduate secured another fall internship in Oakland — but is still seeking a full-time job afterwards.
“A lot of entry level grad jobs have been cut out of the workforce,” Alita said. “You have to put in more effort than 10 years ago.”
