(KRON) — A major damage crash shut down both lanes of Altamont Pass Road in unincorporated Alameda County Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol Dublin area office reported.
Lanes in both directions were shut down between Greenville Road and Carroll Road starting at approximately 6:30 a.m. They were reopened as of 10 a.m., CHP reported.
CHP suggests using I-580 instead of Altamont Pass Road when commuting into the Bay.
