On Wednesday, Sep. 9, 2026, parents and guardians of Amador Valley students gathered on campus after school for the yearly Back to School Night event.
“The speeches by Principal Norrington and [the others] were very inspiring,” parent Chris Edenborough said.
The Schedule
The ceremony began with a performance from the Amador Jazz Band, before several speeches, including one from AVHS principal Malcolm Norrington. Parents headed off to tour the campus, with a six-period schedule similar to an ordinary school day to help keep them and teachers on track.
