The Bay Area’s unusual September chill will give way to a short-lived midweek warmup.
High temperatures are forecast to increase to near normal Tuesday, in the 60s at the coast, 70s along the bay shoreline and 80s inland. The warmup follows a multi-day stretch of stubborn low clouds spurred by a low-pressure system over California. That system will move away from the state on Tuesday, allowing for more rapid clearing. Even San Francisco should see sunshine by the afternoon.
