Short Term: The heat advisory now covers all of the Bay Area through 10 p.m. Sunday. Areas along the immediate coast may run a bit cooler, but weak onshore flow limits relief even a few miles inland. Highs will run 10 to 20 degrees above normal, with overnight lows also well above normal, offering little relief. In the higher terrain, elevated fire weather conditions continue, with hot, dry air and long burn periods persisting through the night.
Long Term: The heat advisory continues through 10 p.m. Wednesday for most of the interior Bay Area, with moderate to major heat risk continuing through the stretch.
